Overview
The 2011 Hyundai Azera is a full-size four-door five-passenger sedan with solid driving abilities, family-oriented features, and a big trunk in its well-designed interior. The Azera is offered in GLS and Limited trim levels. A choice of 3.3-liter or 3.8-liter DOHC Lambda V6 engine with improved power, fuel economy and available PZEV emissions, an all-new, in-house six-speed automatic transmission, exterior upgrades including headlights with LED surround accent lighting, taillights and fog lights, bumper fascias, side mirrors and window trim, trunk lid and grille and alloy wheels and interior refinements including center console aluminum graining, Eco Indicator and EZ Lane Change Assist - one touch triple turn signal are new for 2011.
Powertrain and Performance
Under the hood of the 2011 Azera GLS is an enhanced 3.3-liter V6 engine that churns out 260 horsepower and 233 pound-feet of torque. The Limited is equipped with a 3.8-liter DOHC Lambda V6 engine that generates 283 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, shift interlock and SHIFTRONIC and front-wheel drive configuration are standard on both the trims. Fuel economy of the 2011 Azera GLS is 20/28 mpg (city/highway) and that of the Limited is 19/27 mpg (city/highway).
Hyundai has added a fuel economy Eco Indicator in the 2011 Azera model. It shows a green light to indicate when driving habits are contributing to good fuel economy.
Build and Styling
The standard features of the 2011 Hyundai Azera GLS include 17-inch cast-aluminum wheels, automatic headlights, remote keyless entry system with alarm, power windows, locks, heated mirrors, tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, steering wheel audio controls, AM/FM/XM/CD/MP3 audio with iPod/USB auxiliary input and cruise control.
The Limited is equipped with all GLS equipment and 17-inch hyper silver alloy wheels, power tilt-and-slide glass sunroof, power folding side mirrors with turn signal indicators, bumper, body side and door handles with chrome inserts, leather seating surfaces, heated front seats, dual automatic temperature control, in-dash 6-disc CD Changer with 10 Infinity speakers, iPod/USB auxiliary input jacks, subwoofer and amplifier and woodgrain-trimmed leather steering wheel.
