2010 Honda Insight: Great green fun for fewer bucks

2010 Honda InsightThe hybrid car market is crowded with all auto manufacturers launching their own versions. Every automaker claims that theirs is the best hybrid offering, the best of comfort, convenience and fuel economy. Rick Case Honda in Davie, FL, believes the Honda Insight, America's first and the best hybrid on road for almost ten years now offers unique style, great green attributes, and sophisticated features. The 2010 Honda Insight is offered in two trim levels-the Insight LX and EX.

There are many things that set Insight apart from other hybrids in the market. First, it has been priced less and offers more fun when compared to other hybrids. Second, the Insight employs Honda's fifth-generation Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system which mates a 1.3-liter engine with an ultra-thin electric motor that increases efficiency through power assist, energy regeneration and idle stop capabilities. Third, with EPA ratings of 40/43/41 city/highway/combined mpg*, the Insight is, quite simply, more fun to drive thanks to its light, precise steering and smoother throttle and brake response. For 2010, the Insight comes with an all-new Ecological Drive Assist System (Eco Assist) to help drivers achieve excellent real-world fuel economy. Eco Assist is a driver-selected fuel efficiency feature. Pressing the ECON button can enhance the efficiency of multiple vehicle systems: throttle control, CVT operation, idle stop duration, air conditioning and cruise control operation (EX only).

The small 5-passenger Insight offers a spacious-feeling occupant environment with some measurements comparable to larger vehicles and a long list of high tech comfort and convenience features like automatic climate control, a six-speaker audio system, USB audio interface, optional Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System with Voice Recognition and a Bluetooth HandsFreeLink system (EX only). Also, an adaptable cargo area and 60/40 split fold-down seats provide extended utility. Thus, the 2010 Honda Insight is the natural choice when it comes to driving green.
